El Dorado showed an API score increase of 9 points to 811. API scores over 800 are achieved by the top 5% of California schools. According to our principal, Mrs Wilkins, “I attribute this success to the diligence of our students on their standardized testing, the committment of our teachers to providing a quality education, and the on-going support of our parents at home.” Congratulations to all students, staff, and parents!

Audrina Patridge, MTV reality TV personality, honors EDHS teacher Cozette Petitt with a check from OfficeMax as part of their “A Day Made Better” campaign, at El Dorado High School on Thursday (October 2) in Placentia, CA.
A Day Made Better aims to eliminate teacher-funded classrooms, they honored 1000 teachers in 1000 schools at 10:00 am on Thursday morning.
Bob Thacker, vice president fro OfficeMax said “it’s astounding that teachers have to reach into their own wallets to buy billions of dollars worth of basic school supplies - markers, posters and pencil sharpeners, our October 2 ‘A Day Made Better’ campaign has one message: it’s time to act together so that our teachers can focus on educating our children, without worrying about where their basic classroom supplies will come from.”
